What resident technology adoption looks like at Arrow Senior Living

Resident technology adoption continues to be an important conversation across senior living. At Arrow Senior Living, the numbers show what’s possible when technology is useful, accessible and embedded into everyday community life.

Across Arrow communities, resident engagement with the Arrow App, powered by Cubigo, averages 67–68%, with some communities reaching 80–90% engagement by active users.

Residents use the platform to discover and sign up for events, connect with neighbors who share their interests, check what’s on the menu, submit maintenance and transportation requests, contact their community team and much more.

As one Arrow resident enthusiastically described it:

"This amazing tool can tell you what events are taking place today, tomorrow, next week, or even farther into the future at your facility. It tells you what is going on and how you can get involved. Once you sign up for an activity, it will remind you, so you don’t miss it.

The app can help you identify your neighbor or someone you just ate dinner with and can’t remember their name — yes, we have all been there. Wouldn’t it be nice to find fellow residents who share the same interests as you? From common interests like photography, gardening, and birding to more exotic interests, like folks who enjoy scuba diving in the Caribbean! You can search for and find folks with common interests right on the app.

‍If you want to message a fellow resident, don’t worry about their knowing their email address.  You can send your message directly to your buddy through the app.

‍
‍As I write this, I’m feeling a little hungry. I wonder what is on the menu tonight? The answer is in the app. What did I tell you? One powerful tool in the palm of your hand."

But strong adoption isn’t just about having the right technology. Arrow has created a culture around it by encouraging residents to explore, ask questions, support one another and become confident users.

And perhaps the best encouragement comes from a resident themselves, speaking to others who might feel less comfortable with technology:

“Even if you aren’t a ‘nerd,’ you CAN run this app.”

Or, even simpler:

“Remember, don’t be afraid to touch any button. You can’t hurt anything!”

Arrow’s results are a great example for the industry: when technology solves real everyday needs and is supported by the community around it, residents don’t just adopt it; they make it part of daily life.

We’re proud to power the technology behind the Arrow App and even prouder to see how Arrow’s teams and residents have truly made it their own.
