From Senior Living to Tech: Cori Cansler’s Journey to Cubigo

To continue driving this mission, we’re thrilled to welcome Cori Cansler, our new Onboarding Manager, to the team. With nearly a decade of experience in senior living—including direct hands-on work in a life plan community—Cori brings unique insights to our mission. She’s not just a former Cubigo client; she’s also a champion of enriching resident experiences and streamlining staff workflows.
We sat down with Cori to learn more about her journey, her insights from using Cubigo in her previous role, and what she’s most excited to achieve as part of our team.
From Senior Living to Tech: A Natural Transition
Having worked in a highly engaged life plan community, Cori has firsthand experience with the challenges staff and residents face daily. “Staff need a solution that saves time and streamlines efforts,” Cori shared. “Residents, on the other hand, need a platform that’s easy to understand and enjoyable to use. Cubigo is a secure space where community members can get answers to their questions, learn the most up-to-date news, and manage their many reservations, requests, and event registrations.”
Her transition to Cubigo feels like a continuation of her mission. “ As a Director of Resident Enrichment, my goal was to create meaningful opportunities for residents to live their most fulfilling lives. In my new role, my goal is to equip communities with the tools to help residents live their most fulfilling lives,” she explained. “It’s an exciting thought to be able to have a hand in improving the resident experience for countless communities across the globe.”
Leveraging Cubigo in Senior Living
Before joining Cubigo, Cori experienced the platform as a client—and a fan. “Cubigo provided a reliable and user-friendly solution,” she recalled. “At my former community, Cubigo was able to support the heavy user load that would occur each month when event registration opened. Cubigo listened to our requirements for setting up an effective event management process and ensured our resident needs were met.”
Insights into the Onboarding Experience
Now on the other side of the platform, Cori is eager to apply her knowledge to support other communities during onboarding. “As a former client, I gained firsthand experience with navigating the onboarding process, building community confidence, ensuring the right staff were trained on the platform, and establishing processes to meet our specific community needs,” she said. “I plan to use this experience in my role as onboarding manager to help others make the transition to using Cubigo as smooth as possible. If you are grappling with a question along the way, I will be there to help you navigate and problem-solve.”
Advice for Senior Living Teams
When asked about her advice for communities implementing new technology, Cori stressed the importance of communication. “I think the most important thing in adopting new technology at a community level is bringing everyone in on the ‘why’. Your residents and staff will be much more willing to adopt a new way of thinking, if they understand the ways it will benefit them. Luckily, with Cubigo, the benefits are many.”
Looking Ahead
As Cori settles into her role, she’s most excited about building connections with communities and ensuring Cubigo meets their expectations. “I love the relationships and opportunities that residents have by living in a life plan or retirement community. It's incredibly rewarding to me to make a difference in residents and staff experience by providing quality solutions to their day-to-day needs.”
